OMG SO LAME
Aug. 14th, 2005 03:05 pmAfter rediscovering an old set of VHS tapes, I have become unexpectedly semi-obsessed with a ridiculous show that aired for nine weeks eight years ago. It premiered on ABC in March of 1997, was aired for three weeks, and then shelved until July, when six more eps were burned off. (This left four episodes that were only aired overseas. The copies I have are dubs of airings from Israel, and have Hebrew subtitles, but I have them, dammit.) Oh, and the eps they did broadcast were shown out of order. Ratings were truly abysmal. I doubt it will ever be released on DVD.
At any rate, it was a very silly show, with many flaws, and it's quite obvious why it failed utterly, but for some reason I *heart* it like mad. I don't think it had any fandom to speak of. There seems to still be an existing fansite somewhere in the bowels of Geocities, but it's long abandoned. There are a total of six fics, and five of them are crap. This is...frustrating. This is...making me want to write fanfic, of which I am maddeningly incapable lately. (Some would argue I have always been incapable of it.) It's also strange because half the time I'm watching the show I think to myself, "Hm, this isn't really that 'shippy at all", but then other times, "OMG help the 'ship is EATING ME!"
And so, on that note, Spy Game ficbit. (Post ep.13, 'You Just Can't Trust Anybody These Days'.)

Oh my god, I suck, I can't believe I posted this. This is the first fic I've written in a whole year. That's my excuse for the awfulness. Still, Becky, this is better than when I first showed it to you, yes? A little bit? *cringe*
